OUYA available for pre-order

The newest overnight success from kickstarter, the OUYA, has just been made available for Pre-order. The $99 android console is available for Pre-order on the console’s official site. The console hopes to break open the “closed” console market, and make it easier for developers to he their games on the TV.

Personally, I’m interested in seeing what this console becomes. The hardware isn’t especially impressive, running on a Tegra 2, and the existing software library isn’t great for android. I’m very curious to see how developers react to this console. Without a good amount of developers dedicated to the OUYA, the millions of dollars dedicated through the console’s kickstarter, could all go to waste on a stagnant console.
