I think you did a good job at describing this game. I agree with pretty much everything you pointed out especially in respect to the campaign and how polished the game is.

When it comes to multilayer and community i would like to add a few more words.

I personally find this game to be one of the most difficult to learn. This is coming from someone who has spent the last 8 years playing mostly FPS, RPG, MMO and many other multiplayer games (mostly PvP oriented). I have never felt so noobish as i do every-time i play a match and then watch a replay of someone professional. There is so much room for improvement… even at the top…

If you (READER) are looking for a challenging pvp MP game, and don’t mind RTS, look no further. SC2 will deliver.

The mechanics of the game are very complex and difficult to master, however, thanks to a very active and wonderful community that SC2 has, it is an amazing learning experience. There are numerous individuals who dedicate much of their time in trying to help newer players get into starcraft. I am very grateful to all those people.

I highly recommend checking out some of the competitive starcraft 2 games on youtube if you have never seen one.

Bottom line, i find SC2 MP mode fun, challenging and very intense. Be prepared to loose, a lot. HF GL!

haha not a Blizzard hater! :O, well my ‘serious’ gaming life has been ruled by Diablo 2, WoW so while I may be the tiniest bit biased in this article I couldn’t agree more with the sheer disappointment at them farming money out of the series via expansions. I am worried its becoming all to common in games these days :(.

Must agree as well that RTS really doesn’t float my boat but this one definately had me teetering on the edge :)

By: Evil Tactician Fri, 08 Apr 2011 15:29:11 +0000 I absolutely hate Starcraft and yet this almost makes me want to take a look. Almost…

I’m one of those “don’t really like Blizzard and don’t think they’re all that great” people – and I very much dislike how they are bringing out the campaigns as seperate games. Too much focus on multiplayer here and that’s not what I play RTS for. Then again, RTS couldn’t be less my genre – so I’m not really one to judge.

Which is why I didn’t review the game I guess :P
