For some reason the sort of hands off approach in this game appeals to me. Maybe it`s because I`m lazy. But apart from Dungeon Keeper and Evil Genius I can`t think of too many other games that have tried it.
It`s an interesting idea anyway, and something I wish game developers would explore more than three times in 20 years. Oh well…

Not playing for long stretches can help to somewhat alleviate the feeling of repetition. A game or two a week should be a slow enough pace to not be entirely overwhelmed with déjà vu each time a new level is started.
